War films show the picture of the war from different angles, but always based on a stories of people put in extreme conditions. War draws the worst of people, but also the best to surface - the decisions that are made during the war are always difficult and in those conditions people show who they really are and what they stand for. In a way war films show the truth about us - only in extreme conditions we can say who we are, and there is no more extreme conditions than during the war.
