Armed only with hunting weapons they decide to face the enemy and fight for their town...
Classic war film with elements of adventure - group of teenager became guerillas when their country is invaded by Soviet and Cuban forces. With cast that included future start like Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, Lea Thompson or C. Thomas Howell, interesting script and realistic look how World War III could looked like for the civilians, Red Dawn became a classic war flick. Of course it wasn’t a masterpiece, it had its flaws, but even after all the years this is still quite entertaining war film.

War films are not always showing the war per se - often the main theme is the influence of the conflict on lives of people involved, but also their families and friends. War is seldom a local thing - the trauma, the pain, the death they put their mark on people from around the world.
